Police Arrest 30 Years Old Woman in Uasin Gishu Who Stabbed Her Husband to Death
Police have arrested a thirty-year-old woman in Rukuini village, Tarakwa ward, Kessess Sub County after stabbing her husband to death on Monday.
Speaking to the press Uasin Gishu county police commander, Ayub Gitonga Ali said the incident happened after the couple engaged in a domestic quarrel that night.
“We got reports from residents that one woman named Teresiah Njeri stabbed her husband, David Ndegwa resulting in his death. So far we are still investigating the course of his death,” said Uasin Gishu County Commander.
He says cases of spouses killing each other are a major concern as previous cases have been reported.
“It is quite sad that a person you expect to spend the rest of your life with is the same one who cuts your life short. I think it’s high time we find means to ensure that these cases do not continue arising each and every passing day,” added Gitonga.
He said the couple had been engaging in endless fights in the past and that their efforts trying to talk to them bore no fruits.
“The two have been engaging in a lot of fights lately. We don’t know what caused the endless fights but as neighbors, we have been trying to talk to them but it seems our efforts did not yield any results. Domestic row among couples is normal but people can always find a way to resolve conflicts amicably. We are saddened by this incident and we hope that justice will be served,” he said.
Gitonga urged all couples to seek guidance from the elders in the society as solutions to matters can be found easily by sharing the challenges they face in their marriage.
