Popular KBC News Anchor Appeals For Blood Donation
Veteran KBC news anchor Catherine Kasavuli, who is currently admitted to the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) is appealing for blood donation after being diagnosed with cervical cancer.
In a blood request form, KNH blood donation unit asked the public to donate blood for Kasavuli, one of the most celebrated news anchors in the Kenyan media space.
“KNH usually gives the patient what is required from their blood bank as long as donors have presented themselves. They don’t restrict donations to blood type factor hence anyone can donate,” KBC acting Managing Director Samuel Maina says.
Ms Kasavuli, whose journalism career boomed between the 1990s and 2015, returned to KBC in 2020, where she hosts the Legend Edition.
