President Ruto Announces Complete Cabinet Nomination

In a decisive move to fill the remaining cabinet positions, President William Ruto has officially nominated Dorcas Oduor as Kenya’s new Attorney-General and Beatrice Moe as the Cabinet Secretary for East African Community Affairs.

Dorcas Oduor, currently serving as Secretary for Public Prosecution at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution, is set to make history as Kenya’s first female Attorney-General, pending approval by the National Assembly. President Ruto praised Oduor’s extensive career in law, highlighting her significant contributions to legal development through litigation and advisory roles. “In her long and distinguished career as a jurist, Dorcas Oduor has demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication. If confirmed by the National Assembly, she will break new ground as our nation’s first female Attorney-General,” President Ruto said in a statement.

In another significant appointment, Beatrice Moe has been nominated for the position of Cabinet Secretary for East African Community Affairs. Moe, who previously served as the County Executive Committee Member for Water, Irrigation, and Land Reclamation in Turkana, is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Governance and Ethics. Her background in community development and management has been recognized by President Ruto, who expressed confidence in her ability to advance regional integration and community affairs. “Beatrice Moe brings specialized skills in the development and management of community affairs, which are crucial for fostering behavioral and social changes in our communities,” the statement noted.

With these appointments, President Ruto completes the current cabinet nominations, signaling a new phase in the administration’s governance.
