President Ruto Suspends Cherera Four
President William Ruto has suspended 4 IEBC Commissioners ‘The Cherera 4’ and appointed a tribunal to inquire into a petition to remove them from office. The tribunal will be chaired by Court of Appeal Judge Aggrey Muchelule.
They include IEBC Deputy Chairperson Juliana Cherera and commissioners Francis Mathenge, Irene Masit, and Justus Nyang’aya who are accussed of subverting the will of the people during the August 9 polls.
The President has also established the Nairobi Rivers Commission and appointed its 9 members.
