The Principal Secretary in the State Department of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Dr. Esther Muoria has taken a moment to underscore and acknowledge the pleasant and fulfilling work being undertaken by the Kenya National Qualifications Authority KNQA.

Taking to her social media platform, Dr. Esther Muoria noted:

“I appreciate the progress made by the Committee reviewing the implementation guidelines and Policy Framework on Recognition of Prior Learning steered by the Ag. Director General, KNQA Dr. Alice Kande, assisted by Stanley Maindi and our multi-sectoral partners; ILO, FKE, Kenya National Federation of Jua Kali Associations, CoG, NITA, KETRB and TVET CDACC. The Policy and Guidelines will provide standards of assessing and certifying the skills and competencies acquired through experience. This will enable our skilled, but uncertified youths to be awarded certificates based on individual competencies expanding their opportunities in employment and advanced learning.
The Policy will be launched in October 2023.”
