Raila Odinga Should Stop Countrywide Rallies-Governor Sang
Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has asked Azimio leader Raila Odinga and his team to stop the ongoing rallies in the Country
Speaking to the press In Eldoret town Sang said that it is wrong for Odinga to continue with the rallies since it will affect the economic development of the country.
“Opposition Chief Raila Odinga is a senior politician in the country, he knows what he is undertaking is wrong and will spark negative effects on the country’s economic progress. We are calling upon him to immediately stop the ongoing rallies since they are destabilizing the County” said the NOREB Chairman.
Governor Sang requested the Azimio leader to avoid rallies despite having the power and right as a senior leader in the country, and instead raise their issues with various leaders in the country.
“Although Odinga has the right to organize rallies, I am asking him to raise their concerns to us. He should sit down with us and tell us what he feels is wrong instead of polarising the Country ”, he said.
Sang noted that the country currently is under a serious economic empowerment program and Politics will influence the development at large.
Raila Odinga has publicly said that he doesn’t recognize president William Ruto as president and is calling for his ouster saying he has failed to run the Country efficiently.
Governor Sang also officially opened a NOREB Women Leaders Dialogue held in Uasin Gishu County convened to create a roadmap to the empowerment of our citizens, particularly women.
The forum brought together women in leadership to explore ways of unblocking obstacles to women’s empowerment, long-term solutions to gender-based violence, and the role of women in conflict resolution especially in NOREB member counties.
