Raila Odinga Speaks After His ODM Gubernatorial Candidates Won Mombasa and Kakamega Seats
Opposition leader Raila Odinga and Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga has spoken after his Mombasa and Kakamega gubernatorial aspirants won the elections.
“Kakamega na Mombasa mumedhihirisha kwamba Kenya nzima ni Azimio.
Hongera.Fernandes Barasa na Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir. To our loyal supporters who came out to vote for them and Azimio as a whole on the 9th of August, I Thank You! Better days are coming,” said Raila Odinga through his official Facebook page.

Businessman Fernandes Barasa of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party won the Kakamega gubernatorial seat in a hotly contested election held on Monday, August 30.
Barasa garnered 192,929 votes against his closest competitor, former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala of the Amani National Congress (ANC) who got 159, 508 votes.
Orange Democratic Movement Party’s Abdulswamad Nassir won the Mombasa governor seat after garnering 119,083 votes against his closest rival UDA’s Hassan Omar who got 98,108 votes.
