Saboti MP Donates Sports Equipment to Empower Local Youth
In a bid to empower young athletes and promote talent development, Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has donated soccer balls and netballs to local teams across the Saboti constituency. The donation, made through the Caleb Amisi Foundation in partnership with the Kenya Academy of Sports, is aimed at providing essential resources for aspiring athletes and fostering a culture of sports excellence in the region.
The initiative is part of a broader vision to enhance youth engagement in sports as a means of empowering them and contributing to Kenya’s national development. The donation is also a precursor to the highly anticipated Caleb Amisi Super Cup, scheduled for next year, which will bring together talented youth from across the constituency in a competitive sporting event aimed at showcasing and nurturing emerging talent.
“Talent development is key to increasing youth participation in Kenya’s economic progress,” said Caleb Amisi during the handover ceremony. “By investing in sports, we create opportunities for the youth to excel, which in turn contributes to the growth and prosperity of our nation. Kenya needs a Renaissance, where young talent drives innovation and national development.”
The Caleb Amisi Foundation has long been dedicated to uplifting the youth in Saboti, providing both educational and recreational opportunities that help them realize their full potential. The donation of the sports equipment is just one of many efforts aimed at equipping young people with the tools they need to succeed in sports and beyond.
The Saboti MP emphasized the importance of giving young people access to the right resources, saying that it helps foster discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills — qualities that will serve them in their future endeavors, both in and out of the sporting arena.
Local teams across Saboti were excited by the donation, which is expected to improve training conditions and provide a boost to the morale of athletes as they prepare for upcoming competitions, including the Caleb Amisi Super Cup. The tournament will be a celebration of the talent and potential within the community, offering opportunities for young athletes to be scouted and supported in their sporting careers.
As part of his continued efforts to promote youth empowerment, Caleb Amisi stressed that sports can play a pivotal role in addressing youth unemployment and reducing social challenges by offering viable pathways to success.
“Through this initiative, we are not just giving young athletes the equipment they need; we are opening doors to a future where they can build successful careers and contribute to Kenya’s economic development,” Amisi said.
The donation marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to provide sustainable solutions for youth empowerment in Saboti and across the nation. With the success of the Caleb Amisi Super Cup on the horizon, the future looks bright for Kenya’s emerging sports stars.
