Esther Muchemi is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Samchi Group. She today takes a moment to share with us her thoughts.
“THIS GIRL….The other day, I wished my dad was alive.Why you may ask?When I was growing up, I was the laziest in the family on matters going to the shamba.
Honestly, I could fake illness, school homework etc. just not to go to the farm whether for cultivation, tea picking or coffee picking.
Eventually, I was given an exemption to not go to the farm. My influence, he said, was bad for the rest of the workforce, and I was better left at home.
But today, some of my best times are when I plant crops and follow them through to harvest .
This is not about money so far, and money is good and it will come, but about enjoying every moment. I just love it!
What a transformation, what a shifting in mindset.Never say never, I confirm.”
