School Feeding Program to Benefit 40,000 ECDE learners-Governor Bii
Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii now says the school feeding program for ECDE learners to commence soon.
Speaking during a church service at AIC Momoniat in Kapseret Constituency Bii said the programme will benefit over 40,000 ECDE learners.
“Plans are in place for the official roll out of a school feeding program meant to benefit 40,000 ECDE learners from 653 public schools in our County. The program is spelt in my Nguzo kumi and at the moment, a policy is being drafted ahead of the roll out,” said the Uasin Gishu second governor.
Bii noted that his plan is to ensure that all children access and benefit from the fruits of education.
“It is important to note that the ECDE teachers who are taking care of our children are currently on permanent and pensionable terms as I had promised during my campaign period,” said governor Bii alias Koti Moja.
The County boss recently employed over 1,500 ECDE teachers in the County on permanent and pensionable terms.
He assured residents that all the projects meant to benefit them shall be implemented in due course.
