SENATE Speaker Ken Lusaka has congratulated Archbishop Philip Anyolo on his consecration as the new head of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi.
Lusaka termed the appointment as historic and a major milestone for the people of Bungoma County.
“We celebrate Archbishop Anyolo for this wonderful appointment. It is great news for people of Bungoma who have continually produced great men of faith in the country.
Archbishop Anyolo joins the prestigious league of shepherds like ACK’s Archbishop Eliud Wabukala, Cardinal Maurice Otunga and many more from Bungoma. We wish him well.”
The Senate boss further urged Kenyans to maintain peace as the country fast approaches the 2022 General Election.
He called on electorate to audit the performance of all elected leaders before making their decision.
Lusaka who recently declared his bid for Bungoma Governor’s seat told Governor Wycliffe Wangamati to expect a tough duel.
Both leaders met today at Ranje Primary School, Kanduyi Constituency during the funeral service of Mama Florence Simiyu, a retired teacher.
