Shock in Mumias as a man is found stuck in a shop alongside the items he wanted to steal. Here are more details
Residents of Butere-Mumias in Kakamega County witnessed a shocking incident in broad daylight where a man identified as Yonam Nechesa was found stuck in a hardware shop alongside the items he wanted to steal.
One of the witnesses whose identity was hidden due to personal security revealed that the hardware attendant had gone for lunch and left his shop unmanned but a few minutes later they heard sounds coming from the shop.
He says it’s because of the noise that they rushed to the shop to have a look at what had happened. On reaching, they found a young man stuck, unable to move, and beside him were a number of items that were to be stolen. He said they had to call the owner of the hardware to come and “Kuteguakitendawili”
Some minutes later Jakom, the hardware owner arrived at the scene and disclosed that the reason for Yonam to stick to the shop was because the shop was protected against theft and that’s why he was unable to move in any direction. Coincidentally, Yonam’s brother also came to witness what had happened only to find out it was his brother.
He was shocked and immediately called his parents to inform them what had happened to his brother but his mother never believed that. On reaching, his mother cried with mercy while pleading with Jakom to release her son for he had never been a thief but that couldn’t easily happen.
Jakom, said since he had used Dr. Kazimoto’s protection spells to protect his shop against thieves, he was required to contact Dr. Kazimoto to undo the spell and unstuck Yonam from the shop. Yonam regretted his action to steal from Jakom’s shop and was in a big shame and pleaded to be forgiven as he confessed in front of a big crowd surrounding him that he will never ever do the mistake once again for he had been taught a lifetime lesson.
