Singer Nameless Reveals He Underwent A Vasectomy
Kenyan singer Nameless has revealed that he had a vasectomy, telling YouTuber Vincent Mboya that he has decided to “take matters into his own hands.”
The ‘Ninanoki’ hitmaker, who has three daughters with his wife and fellow crooner Wahu, was speaking at the launch of Talanta Hela at State House on Friday.
“Ah, tumefunga, nimeenda vasectomy ….nimeona nitake things into my own hands,” Nameless told Youtuber Vincent Mboya
“I think at this time, three girls, I’m happy with that, we are feeling blessed, Shiru anatukeep busy,”
During the same interview, the singer shot down a group of critics who had urged him to have a son, ostensibly to carry on his legacy.
He told the Youtuber that he is still astounded that people still adhere to such archaic and outdated ideals.
“I find it very amusing that people can still use that old-school method of thinking,” Nameless said.
“As long as una mtoto ako healthy, you do your best, even if they are not 100 percent healthy, as a parent you are supposed to guide the child,”
Nameless and Wahu, dubbed the Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks of Kenya, met in 1997 as students at the University of Nairobi.
They dated for nearly eight years before deciding to marry on September 10, 2005, in a colorful wedding ceremony on Lake Naivasha’s shores.
They have three children: Tumiso, born on August 2, 2006, Nyakio, born on August 9, 2013, and Shiru, born in October 2022.
