Solasa Stima Starlets Defeats Bungoma Queens 2-1
Solasa Stima Starlets scored 2-1 against Bungoma Queens Division 1 league in a crucial game played at Golden Stadium on Saturday.
Lavenda Murumwa scored scored the first goal in 12 minutes as Cynthia Matekwa scored through penalty kick.
Centrine Waswa of Bungoma Queens FC decrease the range of scores on the side of Solasa Stima by scoring one goal during the 2nd half time.
Solasa Stima Starlets coach Marthius Godfrey said early preparations contributed to the victory.
“We were prepared so that not to loose today’s game,and we were at homeground,we had used that advantage o lf being at home that is why,we had got that win,”said Godfrey.
According to the Chairman of Bungoma Queens FC,Eric Wafula,his Queens had not played for a long time.
“The game was not bad but we had stayed for long time without playing about three months,”said Wafula.
The match was unpredictable.Each team struggled to see their opponents net.Their were many chances of scoring.The ball was under pressure.
Bungoma Queens FC Chairman Wafula said that they had not been receive fund from FKF because it is still under Care Taker Committee.
Bungoma Starlets are expecting to play in Nakuru at Rongai next game.
Teams that will emerge position one in Zone A and B they will be qualifying to play for Kenyan Premier League- Women.And then position two from zone A and B will play against each and the winner join KPL.
