Sometimes you may hide when you cry because you want to be seen as strong, or the people in your life perceive you as strong forcing you to act that way.
Yet at the same time you hate how nobody notices your pain and your humanity. This is how you can feel isolated and alone in the midst of people. You help people when they bring you their issues and they actually get helped and find happiness again.
And they may not be uncaring or selfish. It’s just that there’s nobody you feel would understand you or it would disappoint them because of where they place you in their minds.
Solution? Find at least one person who is your refuge and outlet. Pent up emotions can weigh you down. Life is meant to flow, not to be dammed up. Sometimes what you need to let out of your heart is not even painful feelings but just talking out issues to unclog your mind.
You want a sounding board for the ideas and choices you’ve been considering. That degree of honesty and openness can be dangerous if you did with people who are not on your level. Better to get a person whom you talk every now and then, whether weekly or once in a few months- because such people are usually just as busy and deeply involved with life like you are – but the frequency doesn’t matter.
