Soy Member of Parliament David Kiplagat now wants Police in Ziwa Police station transferred.
Through a letter to the National Police Service, Deputy Inspector General of Police Kiplagat said this is due to increased cases of insecurity.
“I hereby request your esteemed office to transfer all the police at Ziwa Police Station who have overstayed for over three years,” the letter read.
He said there have been increased cases of reported crimes that have occurred in Ziwa and its environs that lack response from the police.
“Most recently a businessman in Ziwa was attacked by robbers and the police were informed but they refused to listen. As we talk the businessman is fighting for his life in hospital, tension is building up in the area over the same,” the letter added.
He noted that the police lack the requisite number that commensurate with the growing town and the police car is also required.
“Your speedy will be highly appreciated,” it added.
