Soy Member of Parliaments Caleb Kositany has hit at the Ministry of Interior for withdrawing deputy president William Ruto’s security.
The Soy legislator said Ruto was duly elected with president Uhuru Kenyatta and thus deserves respect.
“It is very unfortunate that the government has withdrawn Ruto’s security as his supporters’ we want to condemn it with the strongest terms possible since it is uncalled for and ill intended as we are heading to the elections come 2022,” said the Soy legislator.
“We urge president Uhuru Kenyatta should rise above the pettiness we are seeing , deputy president has followers in this country, he is a Kenyan, has a right to agree or disagree with any decision of the president therefore this should not be the reason for his security personnel withdrawal,” he said.
He said this was politically instigated
“We know all this is because of Kiambaa by election Londiani ward Juja by-election and the fall and death of BBI , I am telling the president to try and put himself in the foots of the deputy since this is not right at all,” he added
He added that Ruto is a man of the people and he will be protected by god and people.
“We will take it parliament to compel the government to provide him security since its his right as enshrined in the constitution,” he said.
