The County Government of Uasin Gishu, Inua Biashara Fund is an initiative established with an aim to boost small businesses and groups for growth.
Under the fund, businesses and groups can borrow funds which attracts an upfront of 5%. This move seeks not only to cussion businesses that were affected by covid 19 pandemic but also see them grow.
While representing H.E Governor Jackson Mandago in Kesses Sub-County, ICT Trade and Industrialization CECM Dr Emily Kogos, urged Teldet Women group to take advantage of the fund and grow their savings so as to create more wealth. “When women join together the whole society benefits” added Kogos.
She mentioned that her department is also working to ensure county services are digitalized for the residents to acquire key information from different sectors at their comfort.
“With the use of internet, information has become easy to get and in this case we are working to digitizing various sectors for ease of information access” noted the ICT CECM
Later on the CECM represented the governor during a fundraiser in aid of school fees for Ruth Kemboi who is set to pursue Nursing in Minnesota, United States.
