Taking Advantage
This is a sentence I keep hearing a lot, especially against people in leadership.
It is spoken in low tones.
Things like:
1. The people around him don’t tell him the truth.
2. His advisers are taking advantage of him.
3. He doesn’t seem to know, hear what is on the ground, etc.
And yes, though this could be true, I wonder whether a leader can be successful when he is not in control?
Therefore, I asked this morning, what is in people’s minds when they say people are taking advantage of their political leader, business leader, or even the religious leader?
And yes, I know it’s lonely at the top, but even then, what’s this “taking advantage” that people keep on talking about and at times whispering to the leader’s ear?
What could such leaders be missing?
Today, Madam EM is listening.
