Tarakwa Ward Book Space In Cup Finals
Barekeiywo men obliterated a quality field to win the Tarakwa Ward’s Governor’s Cup Volleyball Tournament.
The visiting Barekeiywo team beat home boys Cherus 2-0 in a best of three thriller played at Leinguse Primary School, on Saturday.
The high stakes match saw Barekeiywo overcome Cherus 25-22 and 25-22 in a best of three sets neck-and-neck action parked play.
Cherus beat Bayete 2-1 and in a semi-final match while Barekeiywo booked their finals match after shrugging off Kipkorosio 2-1.
In the ladies category, Cheboror women humiliated visitors Barekeiywo 2-1 in a one-sided final match.
Area Member of County Assembly, Thomas Yego, shared his optimism that the ultimate winner of the Governor’s Cup trophy will be from Tarakwa Ward.
There was electrifying action in Tulwet/Chuiyat/Racecourse, Megun and Cheptiret/Kipchamo. The finals in the four wards will be on Sunday.
