The Eldoret National Polytechnic hosted a three-day capacity-building workshop organized by the Institution of Engineering Technologists and Technicians Kenya in collaboration with the Kenya Engineering Technology Registration Board.

The workshop’s theme, “Artificial Intelligence, Automation, and the Use of ERP Systems in Manufacturing,” extends technological advancements beyond infrastructural development.

Principal Secretary State Department of Roads Joseph Mbugua engineers are going to be taken through aspects of technology to ensure that they will implement this in their various undertakings.

He noted that President William Ruto has the plan to complete all the ongoing projects that were awarded to different contractors before the Kenya Kwanza administration.

” Efforts are being made by the government to unlock some of the pending projects and complete them within two years or less, “he said.

Uasin Gishu County Governor Jonathan Bii has cited that his administration will complete all incomplete projects.

“We had so many pending projects in our County but so far we have cleared 80% and now we are planning on starting other new projects as soon as possible,” Governor Bii noted.

Governor Bii also assured the residents that there will be an amicable solution between Members of the County Assembly and SRC.

“I support MCA’s because they have a right to demand their salaries but I urge them to help us because our CEC of finance plans to read our budget very soon”. he affirmed.

Chief Principal Eldoret National Polytechnic Charles Koech said the three-day capacity building will ensure that the engineer’s standards are implemented and kept within professions.

“By the end of this we should be able to give better services to our clients from now going forward also we want to ensure streamlining in the professions of engineers and technologists. “said Koech.

Koech stated that at the end of the capacity building, there will be an exhibition of innovations that have been developed by trainees.
