TENP to Celebrate Record 19th Graduation with Over 3500 Graduands
The Chief Principal of Eldoret National Polytechnic, Dr. Charles Koech, has officially announced the upcoming 19th Graduation Ceremony, set to take place on December 18, 2024. This year’s graduation promises to be historic, with the institution set to graduate over 3,500 students, marking its highest number of graduands ever.
Dr. Koech extended a warm invitation to all stakeholders in education, parents, guardians, graduates, and well-wishers to join the institution in celebrating this significant milestone. The event will be graced by the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Julius Migos Ogamba, EBS, who will serve as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries expected include Dr. Esther Muoria, the Permanent Secretary in charge of the State Department for TVET, as well as directors and key stakeholders from various industries.
“We are excited to celebrate the success of over 3,500 graduands, who have completed their programs in various disciplines this year. It is a testament to the hard work of our students and the dedication of our staff. This is our largest graduation class, and we are incredibly proud of the achievements made by our graduates,” said Dr. Koech.
The ceremony will also highlight the strong partnerships Eldoret National Polytechnic has developed with industry players, particularly in dual training programs. Among the key partners expected to attend are Rivatex East Africa Ltd and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, both of which play a pivotal role in providing hands-on training opportunities for students.
“We value the collaboration with these industry leaders, as it has enabled our students to gain practical experience and enhanced employability. These partnerships reflect our commitment to bridging the gap between education and industry needs,” Dr. Koech added.
Currently, Eldoret National Polytechnic boasts a student population of over 18,000, spread across 10 academic departments. In addition to its main campus, the institution has a town campus located at Zion Mall in Eldoret town, further expanding access to education for the community.
The 19th Graduation Ceremony will not only celebrate academic excellence but will also highlight the Polytechnic’s contribution to the technical and vocational education sector in Kenya.
“We look forward to seeing our graduates embark on successful careers, and we remain committed to offering quality education and training that meets both national and global standards,” concluded Dr. Koech.
With over 3,500 graduands, this year’s graduation at Eldoret National Polytechnic is poised to be a significant event in the history of the institution, cementing its reputation as a leading center for technical and vocational education in Kenya.
