TENSION NEEDS TO END AS We AWAIT PRESIDENTIAL RESULTS
The current political season has been characterized by endless tension and anxiety. The political atmosphere has crippled businesses and all our daily activities. This has had a ripple effect on the economy.
The growing rate of unemployment and also the hard situation that most Kenyans are undergoing is quite tough and is worsened by the current political situation which has suspended most activities.
Our politicians have also been seen to worsen the situation by being on the forefront in instigating a number of violent acts.
The recent shootings and other acts that have painted a bad image in these elections have been brought by the actors that we expected so much from them.
Chapter 6 of the grund-norm, the 2010 Constitution together with the Leadership and Integrity Act puts the bar quite high and the leaders need to adhere to it.
Moreover, common human decency dictates that as human beings we need to tolerate each other and our greed for wealth and power should not let us get divided and hold arms against each other.
This country is bigger than all of us. We are Kenyans and Kenya is ours, may peace, love and unity prevail.
