The Government Should Construct Sports Academy in Every Constituency -Ainabkoi MP Aspirant Terry Chebet Maina

Ainabkoi Constituency Mp aspirant Terry Chebet Maina has urged the government through the Ministry of Sports to construct at least one sports academy in every constituency.

Speaking during the finals of the Ainabkoi Subcounty Football tournament in which she sponsored Maina said this will help nurture untapped talents from the grassroots.

“The Ministry of sports should construct at least one sports academy in every constituency this will provide training equipment for youths this helping in nurturing their talents,” she said.

Maina reiterated that tournament was also used to spread peace and warn youths against being used to self-centered politicians to cause violence.

“2022 is an electioneering period and we know youths are the culprits, we have talked to them on the importance of peace and why they should shun politicians who advocate for violence,” she said.

“The aim of this tournament is to nurture untapped talents and also make youths active to prevent them from using drugs and being used by politicians to cause violence during the electioneering period,” said the Ainabkoi parliamentary aspirant.

She further called on the electorates to vote for her in the forthcoming general elections saying she is fit to replace the incumbent William Chepkut who is serving his first term in office.

“I am urging the people of Ainabkoi to vote for me since I am a leader with a vision, a leader on a mission to change and make an impact in our community. I am humble, hardworking, competent, and honest and I will ensure that the livelihoods of residents are uplifted,” she said.

Peter Chesang chairman FKF Uasin Gishu called on the government to train local referees so that such tournaments are to the National standards.
