Lay Canon Rhoda Namaemba Lusaka, known as the matriarch of Bungoma, has passed away this morning. Her son, Governor Kenneth Lusaka, expressed profound sadness at the loss of his beloved mother, who has been a guiding light and pillar of strength for their family since the death of his father in 1995.

Throughout her life, Canon Lusaka was a steadfast figure in the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK), where she exemplified resilience and deep faith. As a committed educator and active synod member, she made significant contributions to her community, inspiring many through her dedication and service.
