Kesses Member of Parliament Dr. Swarup on Monday touched the lives of the youths in his constituency after donating some equipments that will empower them financially.
The Kesses legislator said his aim is to ensure that youths are empowered financially and cushion them from the effects of COVID-19 which has rendered many jobless.
“I am committed in supporting and empowering youths as a way of ensuring that the creative economy generates viable economic opportunities in our constituency,”Dr. Mishra said.
Dr. Mishra donated 20 Beehives to Luita Group from Lelmolok where the group has been practicing bee farming, Barber machines to Kesses Township Youth Groups that will enable them operate a Executive Kinyozi at Kesses Township and Catering equipments to Taach Moi Group from Chuiyat who are operating and offering catering services.
“I am determined in empowering youth groups get back on their feet, in line with my Manifesto on Youth and Women Empowerment.I therefore urge youths to join groups for them to benefit from the funds being given by both the National and County Governments,” he added.
The Kesess legislator said he will continue empowering youths until all of them can have something to so which will earn them a living.
“I will at least empower 6 to 10 groups per week, this is because when you empower youths the future will be bright,” he said.
Dr. further called on Kenyans to continue following the directives by the Ministey of Health to prevent further spread of COVID-19.
“Let is ensure that we wash our hand ls before and after every activity, observe one meter social distancing rule,observe disk to dawn curfew, put on facemasks and of possible stay at home to prevent further spread of the disease,” Dr. Mishra advised.
