Three Head of State Attend African Green Industrialization Initiative in Kenya
For the launch of the African Green Industrialization Initiative, Kenya hosted Heads of State from the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Nigeria, Zambia, Ivory Coast, and Djibouti, fostering commitments during the Africa Climate Summit.
As the Chair of the Committee of African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change, H.E President @WilliamsRuto led in announcing significant green energy investments for the continent. Coordinated and sustainable industrialization is a crucial pathway for economic development and poverty reduction, aligned with the Bottom-Up Transformation Agenda.
Kenya stands as the green energy powerhouse of Africa. Serving as the gateway to the continent, it boasts of a stable economy leading Africa’s green transition. With a young, trainable, and productive workforce, Kenya positions itself as the logistics and innovation hub of the region, offering numerous incentives for investments. We are aligning and implementing regulations to robustly support the transition to a green economy.#COP28
