Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano, EGH, has expressed renewed optimism about Kenya’s future following President William Ruto’s State of the Nation address.

Speaking shortly after the address, CS Miano described her sentiments as “hopeful” and emphasized the positive trajectory the country is poised to take despite recent challenges.

“I came out of H.E. President William Ruto’s State of the Nation address feeling sufficiently hopeful that Kenya will soar and prevail over the setbacks that stalked us in the recent past,” she stated.

Miano highlighted the transformative potential of the address, describing Kenya as being on “the cusp of a new horizon that portends greater fortunes” and urging citizens to remain optimistic. “As Kenyans, we ought to spare ourselves needless blues,” she added, pointing to the opportunity for collective progress.

The CS also underscored her expectations for a resurgence in both domestic and international tourism, buoyed by the vitality and reassurance of the President’s address. “I have ample reason to look forward to resurgent tourism both domestic and international,” she remarked, signaling her commitment to reviving the sector and ensuring it contributes significantly to Kenya’s economic growth.

Concluding her remarks, Miano invoked blessings for the country, saying, “God bless Kenya.”
