The occupants of the ill-fated helicopter included Brigadier Said, Colonel Keitany, Captain Sora, Sergeant Omondi, Captain Litali, Sergeant Nyawira, and Colonel Sawe, all of whom tragically succumbed to the incident.

President Ruto has also ordered a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, as details of what led to the tragedy remain unclear. The loss of General Ogolla and his colleagues has left the nation in mourning, with leaders from across the political spectrum offering their condolences to the bereaved families.

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta, who worked closely with General Ogolla during his tenure, expressed profound sadness at the untimely demise of the Chief of Defence Forces, describing it as a significant loss for the nation. He extended his heartfelt sympathies to the families, friends, and colleagues of all the officers involved in the unfortunate incident.
