Trans Nzoia Gears Up for Kazi Mashinani Initiative with Tool Distribution
In a bid to bolster the success of the Kazi Mashinani youth employment program, the administration of Governor George Natembeya has distributed work tools to all 25 wards across Trans Nzoia County.
The distributed equipment includes wheelbarrows, hard brooms, soft brooms, pangas (machetes), rakes, spades, reflectors and jembes (hoes).
Kazi Mashinani, a component of the broader Ukombozi social initiative, aims to create employment opportunities for young people and foster their participation in the county’s development.
Speaking during the equipment distribution event, Jane Wachwenge, the County’s Chief Officer for Gender, emphasized Governor Natembeya’s commitment to improving residents’ living standards through ongoing development projects across the county.
