TSC Deploys 800 Teachers in Uasin Gishu
Teachers Service Commission has deployed 800 teachers to Junior Secondary Schools in Uasin Gishu.
According to Uasin Gishu Director of Education Khaliff Isaac Hassan, this will help in the smooth running of Junior secondary schools(JSS) in the County.
“TSC has deployed 800 teachers to Junior Secondary Schools in Uasin Gishu. Any time from now the National Government is going to release funds for the JSS. The money is being awaited and we hope that it will help these students” said Khalif Hassan.
He appreciated the efforts that the Ministry, Teachers Service Commission, and other stakeholders put in place to ensure that there is a 100 percent transition.
“Education in Uasin Gishu County is faring well thanks to the efforts by the Ministry, TSC and other stakeholders are in place we now have 100 percent transition. We have done the hundred percent transition of Junior Secondary School(JSS) and form one.” remarked the county Director of education.
The county director of Education has noted that monitoring has been done and Junior Secondary School Education learning in all schools has almost started.
Khaliff Hassan further said announced the National Government will distribute textbooks and disburse 15,000 Kenya Shillings to each student to support JSS and to ensure the system runs smoothly.
“The National government will have textbooks distributed to JSS here in Uasin Gishu and other challenges, lack of furniture is one of them, 15000 Kenyan shillings for every student and 5000 shillings from the funds will cover infrastructure and will buy some staff for the school. As soon as the Ministry receives the funds from the National Government we will equally distribute the funds and follow up to ensure that it works efficiently” he detailed.
