Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii has applauded the Supreme Court for upholding president-elect William Ruto’s win in the August polls.

Ruto defeated the opposition leader Raila Odinga in the August polls.

“As Uasin Gishu governor I want to thank the Supreme Court for upholding the president-elect William Ruto’s win, their decision was true and fair and we thank them for confirming that William Ruto won the elections,” he spoke during the homecoming ceremony of Kipsomba Ward MCA Mary Gorreti.

Bii alias Koti was elected on the UDA party ticket after defeating the renowned business tycoon Zedekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki in the just concluded August polls.
He says Ruto is a God-fearing leader and he will serve Kenyans diligently whether they voted for him or not.

“People should not be worried since Ruto is a God-fearing and workaholic and we will have many developments under his leadership. We are sure that he will fulfill the promise he made to the electorates during the electioneering period,” said the Uasin Gishu governor.

Bii is the second governor of Uasin Gishu after taking over from governor Jackson Mandago who was serving his second term as Uasin Gishu governor.

Mandago is now the County’s senator taking over from Prof. Margaret Kamar who was nominated to the senate by the Jubilee party.

The Uasin Gishu governor said he will fully implement the bottom-up economy which was the campaign tool for president-elect William Ruto.

He says this will ensure that the less fortunate in society are empowered financially.

“We will start implementing the bottom-up economy model and we will work with everyone whether you voted for me or my competitor in order to achieve the dream. I call upon all residents to support me in implementing the model,” said Governor Jonathan Bii.
