Uasin Gishu Leaders Mourn Tragic Loss of Chief of Defense Forces, Gen. Francis Ogolla, and Nine Soldiers in Air Crash

Uasin Gishu County is in mourning following the tragic death of Kenya’s Chief of Defense Forces (CDF), General Francis Ogolla, and nine other military personnel in an air crash in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Expressing heartfelt condolences, Governor Bii extended sympathies to Gen. Ogolla’s family and the nation, highlighting his dedicated service and leadership within the defense forces. He described Gen. Ogolla as a devoted leader who served the nation with honor and distinction, leaving a profound void with his untimely demise.

Senator Jackson Mandago of Uasin Gishu echoed the sentiments, emphasizing the loss of dedicated soldiers committed to securing the nation, particularly in addressing the persistent security challenges in the Kerio Valley region. He expressed gratitude for their sacrifice and pledged enduring remembrance.

Kapseret Member of Parliament joined in mourning the loss, emphasizing the significant blow to the country and offering prayers for the departed souls.

MP Julius Ruto of Kesses constituency mourned Gen. Ogolla’s passing, acknowledging his rise through the ranks and dedication to serving Kenya. He extended condolences to all families affected by the tragedy, praying for their peace and comfort.

Moiben MP, Prof. Phylis Bartoo, expressed sorrow over the loss, describing it as a sad day for the country and honoring Gen. Ogolla’s service to Kenya.

Soy MP David Kiplagat conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the people of Soy Constituency to the families of Gen. Ogolla and the nine soldiers. He also wished the two injured soldiers a speedy recovery, praying for the eternal peace of those who lost their lives.
