Uasin Gishu Secondary Schools Set Off to the Regional

Uasin Gishu Director of Education Khalifa Issack Hassan flagged off Secondary School teams to take place in the Regional Competitions in Nanyuki, Nyahururu County.
Speaking to the press he says, the County will ensure that the learners participate in the Co-curriculum activities.

“Today we have flagged off teams that will be representing us at the Regional level in Secondary School games that will take place in Nanyuki. We know they are well prepared and wish them well in their endeavors,” he said.

He urged participants to be good ambassadors of the County.
“We are confident that if you uphold discipline and Sportsmanship, your success is guaranteed,” noted Isaack.

“You might think that you are playing for the various schools but remember you might be spotted and be recruited into one of the national teams in your various games so my advice to you is to play your level best and be outstanding,” said Deputy County Commissioner, Solomon Chepeton.

Patrick Kosgey, Uasin Gishu County Secondary School Sports Association Chairman said that they are confident that teams will do their level best and qualify for the Nationals.

“We have a formidable racket team that has several times participated in the East Africa Competitions and this time we are confident we are taking more teams from our county. We are confident that the teams that we are flagging today will make us proud,” said Kosgey.

The County games which will commence on the 18th are scheduled to culminate on Saturday the 22nd 2023.
