Uasin Gishu To Unveil A Toll-Free Number And Centre To Enhance Communication
The County Government of Uasin Gishu is set to unveil a toll-free number and a call centre that will facilitate residents’ to access county services with ease and help the devolved unit get quick feedback on issues affecting the targeted residents.
Speaking during a stakeholders consultative CIDP preparation process forum for the year 2023/2027 on infrastructure and ICT, CECM Youth, Technology, Sports and Innovation CEO Eng. Lucy Ng’endo said the toll-free number will be introduced before January next year.
CECM Water, Irrigation, Sanitation, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change Dr Abraham Serem reiterated that the document will be crucial in enabling Governor Jonathan Bii’s administration deliver on the nguzo kumi promises to the people of Uasin Gishu in the next five-year period and also play a crucial role as Eldoret gears toward being elevated to a city.
CECM Roads, Transport and Public Works Engineer Joseph Lagat said the regional government plans to promote environment-friendly and renewable energy that will be economically viable and sustainable for the residents of Uasin Gishu.
The three CECMs thanked the residents for participating in the process saying that their proposals will be taken into consideration going forward, for the betterment and growth of the County.
