It is a win for Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya after a court struck struck out a petition against his list of chief officer nominees.

A month ago, a High Court stopped the vetting of 11 chief officers nominated by the Governor pending a hearing of a case challenging the list.

In the case, Stephen Kiplagat Rotich had argued that the list of nominees lacked regional and tribal balance.
Justice Joram Abuodha on Friday however struck out the petition directing that Rotich did not indicate whether he had written the memoranda carrying the same message to the County assembly, the vetting institution.

Justice Abuodha indicated that it was too early for the petitioner to raise the complaint yet the vetting committees were yet to commence their work.

The 11 nominees who will be vetted are Kennedy Etiang(Public service management), Sammy Sichangi(Office of the Governor),Dorothy Nyukuri(Water and Environment), Philip Kapten(Lands), George Mwangi(Public works),Emmanuel Wanjala(Health services) Jane Wachwenge(Eduaction) Ashton Mulupi(Finance)Patrick Osoro(Agriculture)Isaac Ndiema(Trade) and Roselyne Nasiebanda(Gender and youth)
