We Have Repossessed Grabbed Land Including the Naivasha Municipal Park-Governor Lee Kinyanjui
Nakuru County Government has repossessed grabbed Naivasha Municipal Park.
According to governor Lee Kinyanjui th land will now be developed for public use where families including children will have a place for recreation.
“Last evening, I presided over the ground breaking ceremony for the rehabilitation of the Naivasha Municipal Park at a cost of Kshs 68.5 million.The beautification of the park will include greening, erection of a fence, benches, improvement of the drainage system in the neighbouring areas and Non Motorized Transport,” said the Nakuru governor.
Kinyanjui said they target to tarmac at least 10 kilometers in Naivasha town by the end of the year.
“I was later taken through the ongoing construction of the Naivasha wholesale and retail market.The first phase of the project at a cost of Ksh 150million is expected to be complete by June this year.Phase two will cost Ksh 260million,” he added.
He says once complete it will have 405 lockable stalls, a cold room, offices and restaurants.
“The wholesale market section will have ample offloading area to avoid congestion.I reiterate that during our tenure there will be no grabbing of public land,” he added.
