United Democratic Alliance Party Secretary General Cleophas Malala now says the party will defend President William Ruto against any intimidation by the opposition party.
Malala urged Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga to stop protests planned since food prices are set to decrease from Monday.
Malala said a seven-member committee that had been formed recently will tackle issues raised by the Azimio la Umoja party.
“We will not allow any handshake in Kenya Kwanza Government since the opposition party has had a habit of insulting President William Ruto. We are going to defend our president,” Malala said
He urged the youth to engage in beneficial activities instead of accepting being taken advantage of by unethical leaders to cause violence during the Azimio demonstrations.
Speaking while gracing a volleyball tournament in Uasin Gishu the UDA secretary general said the government should invest in sporting activities in the country to ensure that youth earn through their talents.
“I urge other leaders to follow the steps Of governor Jonathan Bii by investing in nurturing talents. I have hope in the county government of Uasin Gishu due to the efforts they are putting in by supporting youths,” the UDA secretary-general said
He further urged citizens to take advantage of this rainy season to grow crops, so that the hunger epidemic will be tackled, unlike the past year.
‘The government has provided enough subsidized fertilizer. I urge farmers who have not registered in the digital platform for farmers to do so” Malala said
Malala recognized Governor Bii’s efforts in sports and said he will work with him to nurture young talents.
