Other than being the chief executive officer of the Kurrent Technologies, Eng. James Mwangi wears other hats of distinction. He is a director at the Kenya Private Sector Alliance.

And now, more than ever before, Eng. Mwangi has been appointed as the Vice Chairperson of FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers).

Various professional membership bodies showered Eng. James Mwangi with goodwill messages.

The Institution of Engineers of Kenya in a statement noted:

“The Institution of Engineers of Kenya congratulates Eng. James Mwangi on his remarkable appointment as vice chairperson of FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers). A testament to his exceptional dedication and expertise in the Engineering field. Eng. Mwangi’s journey to this prestigious position is a source of inspiration, reflecting that hardwork and unwavering commitment can lead to remarkable global accomplishments. As FIDIC’s vice chairperson, he is set to drive transformative leadership and positive change within the international engineering community, making him a shining example of engineering excellence. A similar message emanated from the Kenya Private Sector Alliance:

“We congratulate our director in charge of energy and extractives for being elected the Vice President of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC)

Engineer Mwangi is the first Kenyan to serve on the board and also the first time be appointed Vice President. FIDIC will for the first time be led by a female president Eng. Catherine Karakatsanis since it was founded 110 years ago.”
