Will Work With Elders to Solve Issues Affecting Residents –Governor Bii
Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii now says he will work with elders from all tribes to solve issues affecting residents.
Bii says this will ensure that residents live harmoniously with one another.
Governor Bii said he will work with elders to solve issues that affect residents in the county.
“We have agreed with the elders that we have several challenges in Uasin Gishu including a lack of jobs amongst the youths. We will create a conducive environment for businesspeople so that they run business smoothly,” said the Uasin Gishu governor after meeting elders from different tribes.
The governor stated that anti-government protests held by Odinga are a factor that contributes to the deterioration of the country’s economy and called upon people to maintain peace and avoid unnecessary demonstrations.
He called upon residents to engage in beneficial activities that will balance the country’s economy.
“We will not allow demonstrations in our county since this is a waste of time and deteriorates the economy. There is a lot of pending activity that will be affected by these protests, “said Governor Bii
Governor Bii noted that Odinga has in the past years held anti-governmental protests hence there is nothing new he will be offering.
He called upon Odinga to accept the election results as this will propagate peace in the country.
The elders called upon the Opposition party leader to avoid false allegations against President Ruto and instead give him ample time to organize himself and soon he will bring the country’s economy into order.
“President William Ruto should be given enough time, we cannot expect him to cover everything within the short while he has been in government ,” said an elder
They said Citizens should cooperate with the government in lowering the country’s economy.
