Zaritex Company Donates Jerseys to Hubz FC
The Zaritex Company has donated two sets of Jersey to Hubz FC.
According to Zaritex director, Dan Odhiambo this part of their Corporate Social responsibility.
The Hubz FC is a sports club founded by the Eldoret Media Hub in association with the Uasin Gishu Journalism Association.
“This is one of our corporate Social Responsibilities as an organization and we are setting the pace for other private entities within Uasin Gishu to emulate and help the team,” said the Zaritex director.
“They need all sports equipment to do their exercise including the field where they have to do the Practice,” he added.
The team which accommodates journalists from Eldoret town sensitizes the public on issues of drug abuse, tree planting and conserving the environment, and mental health among others.
“We not only report using the media platforms but we have made our roots to the society by establishing this team to help create awareness on social issues such as the mental health issue which is spiking the headlines daily and we are positive that this team will help in accommodating the youths into doing something meaningful than indulging into drug and substance abuse as a way to seek comfort,” said the Uasin Gishu Journalism Association Chairman James Gitaka.
Sheila Wanjala a Journalist from Hubz FC said the sport has highly influenced their performance.
“Since the establishment of the team, the normal home-to-work trend changed and as such the time spent in the field works as therapy for our tired minds,” said Sheila Wanjala.
