Members of Parliament wrapped up the third module of their leadership and capacity-building training at the Kenya Democracy Academy.

Attendees included Members of the Kenya Women Parliamentary Association (KEWOPA) and the Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association (KYPA), who actively participated in the two-day intensive training facilitated by the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD).

Led by Mzalendo Trust, the module focused on equipping parliamentarians with strategies to enhance their relations with constituents, identify and engage key stakeholders, and develop advocacy and influencing skills crucial to their roles as representatives of the people.

NIMD, a global organisation dedicated to fostering inclusive political systems, initiated the Kenya Democracy Academy last year, which has been offering the training.

The participating legislators, drawn from both the National Assembly and the Senate, are slated to reconvene in March for the fourth module of the transformative six-month training program.
