WESTERN LEADERS PLEDGE OVERWHELMING SUPPORT FOR RAILA

Busia Governor, H.E Sospeter Ojaamong yesterday joined Western leaders in pledging an overwhelming support for ODM leader, the Rt Hon Raila Amolo Odinga in the August 9th, 2022 presidential elections.
Addressing an Azimio La Umoja rally at Posta Grounds in Bungoma Town that was graced by the Rt Hon Raila, the leaders said all the Governors in the region were behind Baba’s presidential bid.
H.E Ojaamong said Raila’s support in Busia County was unquestionable with about 100 percent votes in favour of the ODM leader who is headed to State House.

” We have no doubt that Baba’s popularity in the region is beyond reproach; the unity displayed by leaders in the region was a clear manifestation of their resolve to back Baba all the way.
Other regional leaders who pledged their support for Baba included Governors Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Wycliffe Wangamati (Bungoma), Wilber Ottichilo (Vihiga), Defence CS, Eugene Wamalwa, COTU Secretary General, Francis Atwoli, DAP-K party leader, Wafula Wamunyinyi, James Ongwae (Kisii), Defence CS (Eugene Wamalwa), DAP-K party leader, Wafula Wamunyinyi, former Minister, Fred Gumo and Busia Deputy Governor, Moses Mulomi
Other leaders who showed their unwavering support for Baba included Governors, Hassan Joho (Mombasa), James Ongwae (Kisii), MPs Kanini Kega, Junet Mohammed and Babu Owino among others.

Raila said the third task he intends to execute since independence is economic liberation, others which were achieved by his predecessors include liberation of the country from colonial yoke and Amendment in the constitution that led to repulsion of Section 2(a) of the Constitution in 1991 that gave birth to multiparty system in the country.

He said his economic strategy is geared towards saving Kenyans from hard economic hardships.These includes fight against poverty, disease and ignorance, introduction of free secondary, tertiary colleges and university education, to waive Higher Education Loans Board fee and convert it to grants and introduction of start up capital with a grace period of seven years.

On agriculture, Raila said he will introduce smart agriculture with subsidized fertilizer from the current Ksh.6000 to Ksh.2000. Electricity tariffs will be reduced from current wooping 14 cents per dollar to match countries like Egypt which charge 3 cents per dollar.

He said 100 days of a Raila’s presidency will be a major turning point in his bid to change Kenya by uniting them without discrimination and by following the rule of law.

The Rt Hon Raila reiterated his planned social protection program where vulnerable people in the country will each receive a monthly stipend of Ksh.6000 to cushion them against poverty.
” Some people are claiming my promises are unimplementable. I know where to recoup that money to justify my assertion, that is my direction for Kenyans as I seek their mandate,” he concluded.

Azimio’s new kid on the block, Dr Mukhisa kituyi said he has lived abroad for over a decade and at no time seen a leader attack his own government while on a foreign trip.
The leaders told Independent, Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chairman, Wafula Chebukati to summom the Deputy President, William Ruto to respond to the claims he made in the United States of planned election rigging in his disfavour.
