20 Police Officers Receive Bravery Awards
The DCI Director Mohamed Amin presided over the Chandaria Police bravery award ceremony held at the National Police Service Headquarters in Nairobi.
Mr. Amin, who was representing the Inspector General, oversaw the awarding of 20 police officers drawn from different services under the NPS, whose services to the country have been outstanding.
While making his remarks after awarding the officers, the Director noted that the officers were deserving of the awards for demonstrating the true meaning of public service, by putting their lives on the line for the sake of others.
The Director further noted that the officers nominated for the awards are just a representation of many other officers out there who are always ready to serve the nation in any condition, thus exhibiting the true responsible nature of an ideal police officer.
On his part, Mr. Atul Shah, who stood in for Dr. Manu Chandaria commended the awarded officers and the entire National Police service for the exemplary work they do in making our Country safe and secure.
He congratulated the crime busters for their courage throughout their service and noted that the Chandaria bravery award is a celebration of bravery and selflessness of gallant officers who risk their lives in the line of duty to save others.
