298 Direct Entry Cadets Graduate
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations welcomes today’s newly graduated direct entry Cadets to the National Police Service.
The 298 cadets 78 of whom were female, completed their Inspectorate course today in a colourful pass out parade, presided over by His Excellency, President Uhuru Kenyatta.
While addressing the officers, the head of state noted that the ceremony was historic since it was the first time in the history of the National Police Service, that direct entry cadets had been enlisted in the service.
He urged the officers who will be deployed as middle level managers, to uphold the virtues of discipline and integrity while serving Kenyans. The Commander-in-Chief also reminded the officers that we are living in an extremely globalized society and therefore the expectations of Kenyans who will demand more of their service, were very high.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Inspector General of police Mr Hilary Mutyambai, said that the officers who are highly specialized in the Medical, Engineering, Legal and other disciplines would be deployed in their respective areas of specialization, to fully professionalize the service.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations is set to benefit immensely, from the deployment of Legal and other specialized officers, among its ranks. This will boost our efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery to the people of Kenya.
