SUDI ASKED TO STOP DIVISIVE POLITICS
Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago together with a section of resident have asked Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi to stop politics of division, abusive language and intimidation against other leaders in the County who have shown interest to vie for various political positions.
Speaking In Moi’sbridge Ward during the first graduation ceremony of Kwenet Vocational Training Centre where 65 students graduated, Mandago asked the legislator to learn how to practice politics of tolerance and allow resident exercise their democratic right choosing leaders in the coming general election without coercion.
Sudi has been going round in meetings across the county telling locals not to vote for Mandago who has announced that he will vie for the Uasin Gishu senetorial seat next year argueing that the governor should shelve his ambition and wait to be given a bigger role in national government when DP Ruto becomes president next year.Sudi has also been complaining in the meetings that governor Mandago should move outside Uasin Gishu to campaign for DP William Ruto.
Mandago and the residents said that he has the right to vie for any post in the coming election adding that nobody can decide for the residents of Uasin Gishu on how to vote.
They urged the residents of Uasin Gishu criticised Sudi for purpoting to have powers and mandate to decide how and who should be elected in Uasin Gishu as they asked residents to continue maintaining the peace that has been experienced for a long time.
