Diaspora Movement in Uasin Gishu County Leaders Condemn Senator Mithika Linturi’s Utterances
Diaspora Movement in Uasin Gishu County leaders has condemned the utterances by Meru Senator Linturi.
During Deputy president, William Ruto Mega’s rally in Eldoret Linturi termed that leaders not supporting the UDA party in Uasin Gishu as Madoadoa.
Speaking to the press led by Samson Wanjama Mugo alias Samkiz and Wakili Kimani Wanjohi they termed the utterances as uncalled for and ill intended.
“As leaders from Uasin Gishu County we want to condemn the utterances by Senator Linturi with the strongest terms possible, such terms were used in 2007 and we will not from a leader drom another county to comer and divide us,” Samson Wanjama Mugo alias Samkiz.
They said governor Jackson Mandago has been at the forefront in preaching peace and will not allow anyone whatsoever to divide them based on their political or tribal affiliations.
“Such utterances are uncalled for especially this time where the country’s heading to the next general elections. Such utterances were used by some politicians to profiler some people and we will not allow such to happen. Such leaders should be arrested and charged in a court of law,” added Wakili Kimani Wanjohi.
They called on residents to shun leaders dividing them based on their political or tribal affiliations.
“Linturi we will not allow ourselves to go back to the past in Uasin Gishu everybody has the right to support his or her own presidential candidate, like us we believe in Azimio La Umoja which will give us peace and no one should question us on the same,” Samkiz added.
They warned Mathira member of parliament Rigathi Gachagua against attacking Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Stephen Kihara.
“It’s sad that Rigathi Gachagua has come to this County to attack our County commissioner who has done a lot to ensure that our county is secure we want to concentrate in his constituency and not us,” he added.
Pamela Raunga ” We will not allow someone to come and destroy the peace that we have been having in the last ten years, governor Jackson Mandago has done a lot to bring us together,”
Andrew Sure warned politicians against spreading hate messages saying it’s bad for the Country as we are heading to the next general elections.
“Despite our tribal and political affiliations we have stayed peacefully in this County and we have never had any problem with anyone and we will not allow an outsider to destroy what governor Jackson Mandago has been doing to bring us together,” Sure said.
Kephas Ochieng termed Linturis utterances as reckless and ill-intended.
“In Uasin Gishu we have vowed to preach peace and we will not allow anyone whatsoever to derail our efforts. We want to assure Kenyans that we will have peace before, during, and after the general elections,” Ochieng said.
