The business community living in Uasin Gishu has condemned the utterances by Meru Senator Mithuka Linturi.

They termed the utterances us uncalled for and ill-intended meant to divide Kenyans ahead of the general elections.

“What we want is peace for our business to thrive and we will not allow, I was born and raised here and if I hear such utterance of madoadoa my heart bleeds because I remember what happened. We condemn the utterances with the strongest terms possible,” said Francis Njoroge while speaking to the press,

They reiterated that politicians should preach peace instead of playing politics of hatred.

“We want to call upon the International bodies to be on the watch out and arrest those politicians who spread hatred message and take them to Hague and we will not allow what transpired in 2007 to reoccur due to reckless talks,” Njoroge added.

Jane Kimani called on politicians to measure their words while addressing their supporters since they might be inciting their supporters without their knowledge.

“What we want as a business community is a peace, let politicians sell their manifestos without name-calling, inciting other communities. A leader like senator Linturi should not be allowed to vie for any political seat in the country since his utterances are meant to divide Kenyans,” Jane Kimani said.

She called on politicians not to force Kenyans to vote for them or join a particular political party but instead let them decide for themselves.

vo”Voting or belonging to a particular party is the right of an individual and no one whatsoever should force you to support of joining a particular party is the right of everybody and no one should force you to vote for a particular person,” she added.

Which is loosely translated to ” “We want to be in the coming government but I want to tell you, people of Uasin Gishu, not to play with Kenya and I am asking you to remove the spots you have here. We cannot stand with William Ruto from Mt Kenya yet you have people here who don’t listen and cannot team up with him.”
