Former Wareng KNUT Branch Executive Secretary John Boor is Dead
Long-serving Kenya National Union of Teachers Wareng Branch John Boor has passed on.
Thomas Yego Wareng KNUT executive secretary saya the deceased died after a short illness.
“ I want to confirm that the long serving Wareng KNUT executive secretary John Boor has died after a short illness, it’s has not yet been established the disease which killed him,” said Yego while speaking to the press.
Boor was defeated by Yego in the last elections after serving for over ten years.
“On behalf of myself and the teachers of Wsareng we want to send our messages of condolences to the friends snd families of Mr. John Boor may God give you strength during this hard time of mourning,” he added.
He described the deceased as a vibrant leader who was ready to fight for the rights of teachers whenever they had a challenge.
“I worked within the deceased for many years but he was a down to earth and only stood up and defend teachers’ rights whenever thye were infringed, he went to an extent of using his own funds to help those in need. We will indeed miss his services, RIP bro,” headed.
He noted that the family will have fundraising coming Saturday to cater for hospital and burial expenses.
“The burial of our friend and colleague will take place at his rural home in Ngeria,Kaptum on 2nd April 2022 and we expect leaders from all divides to grace the occasion,” said Yego.
