Uasin Gishu Gubernatorial aspirant Kiplimo Kebenei alias Mr Water Steps Down In Favour of Jonathan Bii Alias Koti Moja
Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Kiplimo Kebenei alias Mr Water has stepped down in favor of Jonathan Bii alias Koti Moja.
Speaking to the press said Kebenei said he decided to step down after realizing that Bii is the only person who can take the County to greater heights.
Bii is among the front runners in the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat in the forthcoming general elections.
“Today without coercion or intimidation from any quarters I have decided to step down and support my brother Jonathan Bii alias Koti Moja in the fourth coming general elections .Koti Moja is better suited to be the county’s next governor after the term of governor Jackson Mandago who is serving his final and second term comes to an end,” said Kebenei
Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat has attracted aspirants who include former Uasin Gishu gubernatorial; aspirant Zedekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki, Jonathan Bii, David Singoei, Veska Kangog, Sarah Serem among other.
“My Manifesto and that of Jonathan Bii are the same and I know if given a chance he will implement it to the latter,” he added.
Jonathan Bii alias Koti Moja thanked him for his move saying thye will work together for the betterment of Uasin Gishu County.
“I want to thank my brother Kebenei alias Mr. Water for believing her act is not for the faint hearted, my government will be all inclusive and we will form the next government together. My brother welcome to the winning team let work together to improve our county,” he said.
Bii further said he will conduct peaceful campaigns and called on other to follow suit saying elections is just a one day affair and Kenyans should not be divided.
He says once elected he will ensure that youths are enrolled in technical institutions for them to gain technical skills and knowledge
“I will ensure that I have taken youths to technical school to do mechanical courses, joinery and carpentry, electrical, building and construction. Currently the best paying job is white collar collar jobs lets enroll to technical institutions for better tomorrow,” he said
“Ensure youths get necessary skills to come and do business in town and that I will also build shades for the Juakali people for them to work in a conducive environment
He noted he will increase bursary allocation once elected as governor and will ensure more needy and bright students access quality education.
“Once elected as governor I will increase the money allocated for a bursary from the current 120 million shillings which was set by the outgoing governor Jackson Mandago to 300 million shillings so that needy and bright students access education, ” said Koti Moja while speaking to the press in Huruma grounds during a mammoth rally.
He says he will allocate an additional 100 million in terms of scholarship.
Bii says that his administration will construct modern markets
to provide a conducive business environment for hawkers.
“ I will offer stimulus package for business people women and youth and make sure that I increase the business fund since business is the sole of everything in Gasin Gishu. We will give youth funds to start a business,” he added.
He says he will ensure that all health facilities are equipped.
“Health is key will ensure that I equip them with modern facilities which will help in the diagnosis of diseases instead f referring them to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Under his administration, Bii says he will pump a lot of money into agriculture which will help subsidize the fertilizer prices.
“I will increase funds in cooperative for them to subsidize fertilizers where they will buy them in bulk thus reducing the high prices of fertilizers.
Bii says he will reduce the levies charged to the bodaboda operators by half for them to reap from their sweat.
“All the business community especially bodaboda I will relook at the high. We will reduce from the current price of 600 to 300 shillings and we will agree on the ways that will help boda bod a’s operate favorably in the county,” he said.
“I will also promote talents development and allocate funds to ensure youths practice their talents and come up strongly. I will build an amphitheater in Eldoret so that children can showcase their talents,” he said.

He says his government will be all-inclusive “if there is a governor that will listen to you is me, I will listen to everyone regardless of his political and tribal affiliation. Uasin Gishu is a cosmopolitan town and I will treat everyone equally,” said the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant.
